Today is last day of the first part of Budget session which began on 23rd of last month. During the period various important Bill including the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Bill, the Bureau of Indian Standards Bill, 2015, the National Waterways Bill were passed. Besides Both the houses discussed the Rail Budget and passed demands for grants for 2016-17 and supplementary demands for grants for 2015-16.<br/><br/>The Rajya Sabha will today resume discussion on general budget for 2016-17. The Whistle Blowers Protection (Amendment) Bill, 2015 is scheduled for consideration and passage today in Rajya Sabha. The Lok sabha is scheduled to take up the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2016. The house is also expected to take up short duration discussion on the situation arising out of recent terror attacks at Pathankot Airbase. The Second part of session will resume on 25th of April after a recess of over one month.
