Today is the last day for filing of nominations for 64 Lok Sabha constituencies spread over seven states and for 175 Assembly segments in Andhra Pradesh, which will go to the polls in, phase eight on the 7th of May. These are 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh, 7 in Bihar, all four in Himachal Pradesh, 2 in Jammu and Kashmir, 15 in Uttar Pradesh, all five in Uttarakhand and 6 in West Bengal. Scrutiny will be held on 21st April and 23rd will be the last date for withdrawals.

Filing of nominations is on in 41 Lok Sabha constituencies for the ninth and last phase of Lok Sabha elections. These are six in Bihar, 18 in Uttar Pradesh and 17 in West Bengal . Polling in this phase will be held on the 12th of May.
