In Madhya Pradesh, tobacco mixed gutka pouches have been banned from today. AIR Bhopal correspondent reports that the licenses of seven gutka companies in the state have been cancelled.To control the increasing number of mouth cancer patients, the state government has decided to ban tobacco mixed gutkha pouches.If any person found selling tobacco mixed gutkha pouches from today, a penalty of up to 25 thousand rupees would be imposed. A case would also be registered under Food Security and Standard Assessment Act. However there would be no ban on the sale of plain gutkha pouches.
