Minister of Tourism G. Kishan Reddy today informed Lok Sabha that for the revival of the tourism sector in the country from Covid-19 pandemic all sorts of help being provided to Regional Level Guides (RLGs) and Incredible India Tourist Guides (IITG).<br />'' <br />'' In a written reply to a question the minister said the government has launched a Loan Guarantee Scheme for Covid Affected Tourism Sector (LGSCATSS) and under the scheme a loan guarantee up to One lakh rupees is being extended to government recognized RLGs and IITG.<br />'' <br />'' The minister said loans being provided under the corpus of 250 crore rupees to the beneficiaries to discharge their liabilities and restart their business affected due to Covid-19 pandemic.<br />'' <br />'' He said in addition to this 1294 Regional Level Guides (RLGs) and Incredible India Tourist Guides (IITG) have also been trained with refresher courses.<br />'' <br />'' He said at present there are 3227 Regional level Guides (RLGs) available in the country.<br />'' <br />'' In a written reply to another question, the Minister for Tourism said the Kalakshetra Foundation of the ministry is running academic programs on ancient and medieval literature for youths. He said the preservation of such a kind of literature attracts the youth of the country.<br />'' &nbsp;
