He added that the Indian parliament reflects the minds of the people.<br />''<br />''Vice President Dhankhar was delivering the 8th Dr LM Singhvi Memorial Lecture on the theme "Universal Adult Franchise: Translating India's Political Transformation into a Social Transformation in New Delhi today. He said, the country is proud of its judiciary as it has contributed to the growth of promoting the rights of the people.<br />''<br />''Vice President said, the Indian judiciary is one of the critical institutions of governance along with the executive and legislature. He said, the doctrine of separation of powers is fundamental to our governance. He mentioned that the harmonious working of these institutions is vital for the growth of democracy and any incursion, howsoever subtle, in the domain of one by another has the capacity to unsettle the apple cart of governance. He added that &nbsp;Parliament is far more representative at the moment.</span><br />
