To continue as PM after Presidential elections, says Ranil Wickremesinghe

<span style="color: #222222;">Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has said that he will continue to remain on his post if Sajith Premadasa wins the upcoming Presidential election. <br />''<br />''At a special media briefing today, Mr. Wickremesinghe said that the United National Front has achieved a lot over the past 4-5 years and the process to develop the country will continue under a new government.<br />''<br />''Asked who the Prime Minister will be to take the process forward, Mr. Wickremesinghe said that he will be the Prime Minister and Sajith Premadasa the President. His comments assume significance as Premadasa has refused to say who will be the Prime Minister after the election while there are calls for appointing a new Prime minister in case of his Presidency.<br />''<br />''On the other hand, opposition side led by Presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa has said that Mr. Wickremsinghe should resign in case their side wins the elections scheduled for 16tth of next month. </span><br />
