TN Women's welfare department, Department of Animal Husbandry devise alternative employment scheme for rural, suburban women

<span style="color: #222222;">The Tamilnadu Women's welfare department, in conjunction with the Department of Animal Husbandry has devised an alternative employment scheme for rural and suburban women.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Dr V Saroja, State Minister for Women's Welfare inaugurated the scheme, being implemented through Self Help Groups at Namakkal, near Trichy today. She said that the self-employment venture can even be taken up by many women as a part time exercise leading to considerable revenue generation.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Dr Saroja added that the scheme is even more important during the COVID 19 pandemic for rejuvenation of alternative means of income generation. Under the scheme, women are being given country bred poultry samples along with necessary accessories.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The scheme is of special importance, as Namakkal is a major centre for egg trade in South India.</span><br />'' <b><span style="color: #222222;"> </span></b><br />''
