<span style="color: #222222;">The Tamilnadu Women's welfare department, in conjunction with the Department of Animal Husbandry has devised an alternative employment scheme for rural and suburban women.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Dr V Saroja, State Minister for Women's Welfare inaugurated the scheme, being implemented through Self Help Groups at Namakkal, near Trichy today. She said that the self-employment venture can even be taken up by many women as a part time exercise leading to considerable revenue generation.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Dr Saroja added that the scheme is even more important during the COVID 19 pandemic for rejuvenation of alternative means of income generation.
