The Tamil Nadu Government has urged the Centre to grant permission for the medical treatment of Smt. Parvathy Ammal, mother of slain LTTE leader Prabhakaran. <br/><br/>Making a suo moto statement in the State Assembly, the Deputy Chief Minister Mr. M.K. Stalin said that the Centre can consider the request with imposing certain conditionalities. He said that the Chief Minister’s Special Office had received a request from Mrs. <br/><br/>Parvathi Ammal stating that she wanted to be treated in Tiruchy. AIR Correspondent reports that Mrs. Parvathy Ammal was deported to Malaysia after she arrived at the Chennai Airport from Malaysia recently.
