The Tamil Nadu State Government has reduced the sales tax on petrol from 30 to 27 percent in view of rising prices of crude oil in the international market. In a press release today, the State Government has said that due to this reduction the State Government will incur aloss of 210 crores rupees and the cost of petrol per liter will be reduced by 1.38 rupees with immediate effect.
