TN govt approaches Madras HC again following lifting of ban on film Vishwaroopam

The Tamil Nadu government has approached Madras High Court again after a single Judge bench of the High Court lifted the ban on the controversial film Vishwaroopam yesterday.

The court is scheduled to take up the issue for hearing this afternoon. Our Correspondent adds that the film was screened in some of the theatres in Tamilnadu today.

Meanwhile, Kamal Hasan has said that he was not against the welfare of the Muslims. He told a news conference in Chennai that he respected the sentiments of Muslims.

Earlier the film was banned for screening for two weeks in Tamil Nadu from 24th of this month.
