The mortal remains of the fisherman Arumukam Sekhar of Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu, killed in firing by US Navymen near Dubai, were brought to Tiruchirapalli by an Air India Express flight on Wednesday. The fisherman was killed when American Navymen on board USNS Rappahannock, fired at a fishing boat on July 17. The body of Sekar was received at the Trichy airport at 3 pm and then sent to his village Thoppuvalasai in Ramanathapuram district.Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalaitha and DMK Parliamentary Party leader T R Balu had earlier urged the Prime Minister to make efforts to bring the mortal remains of Sekar back to India without delay.
