Crackers carried by passengers led to the fire in the Tamil Nadu Express that claimed 32 lives in July this year. This was revealed in a report submitted by Commissioner Railway Safety (CRS). The CRS of South Central Circle conducted the probe into the fire incident in the early hours of July 30 in New Delhi-Chennai Tamil Nadu Express at Nellore. Besides killing 32 passengers, the incident left 28 people injured, including six grievously.
