Tamil Nadu Environment Minister N. Mariam Pitchai was killed in a road accident near Perambalur Monday morning. Mr. Pitchai was on his way to Chennai from Tiruchi to take oath as member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly when the accident occurred. Further details are awaited.
