TN: Dilshan murder accused is remanded to judicial custody

In Tamil Nadu, the retired Lt. Col. Kandasamy Ramarajan, accused in Dilshan murder was produced before Justice Vijayarani, the seventh metropolitan magistrate today and was remanded to judicial custody till the 22nd of this month. The arrested official who had confessed to the crime has been lodged in Puzhal Prison near Chennai. The Crime Branch Police had a break through in Dilshan’s case last night after the investigations lead to zeroing in on the retired official.The Additional Director General of Police, CB-CID Mr. Sekar told newspersons that the Police had recovered the weapon which was used to commit the crime. The fifty eight year old Lt. Col Ramarajan had served as an Assistant Engineer in the maintenance unit of small weapons and had retired from service on April 30.
