TN dengue deaths at 40; Health Ministry to chalk out plan to tackle disease with south states

Concerned over the fast spread of dengue in the country, the Union Health Ministry will chalk out a plan with the most-affected southern states to deal with the menace. Dengue has so far claimed 120 lives.Top Health Ministry officials, including the Union Health Secretary P K Pradhan will review the situation in the dengue-hit states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Puducherry at Chennai today. Tamil Nadu has so far reported the maximum of 5,546 cases and 40 deaths in the country.
