<span style="color: black;">Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin today inaugurated a Monthly Incentive Scheme for 12 thousand 959 priests of one-time puja temples in the state. Addressing the priests at Thiruvanmiyur, he said that the scheme was announced in the Assembly last week.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">The Chief Minister informed that an additional corpus fund of 130 crore rupees was also created thereby doubling the corpus from one lakh to two lakh rupees for each temple under the one-time puja scheme. He also said that the encroachments in temple lands will be taken back by the Department of Hindu Religious and Charitable endowments.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">The government will also construct housing facilities at six places for the workers at temples at a cost of 21 crore rupees. The government also distributed 4,000 rupees along with monthly provisions to 11,065 temple priests who had no income during the COVID pandemic.</span>
