The Tamilnadu Chief Minister Ms.Jayalalithaa has condemned the increase in diesel prices. Demanding immediate roll back of the policy decision to allow oil companies to decide on the prices, she said that the price hike will lead to overall price increase of essential commodities thereby affecting the lives of the common people. She emphasised that the Centre should take an effective step to control the depreciation of the rupee value.
