In Tamil Nadu, the campaigning for Pudukottai Assembly by poll to be held on Tuesday ends today at 5 PM. The Election Commission has made all arrangements for free and fair conduct of the by-poll.The constituency witnessed whirlwind campaigning by AIADMK head and Chief Minister Selvi Jayalalitha in favour of Karthik Thondaiman and Opposition leader Vijayakanth in support of DMDK candidate Jahir Hussain.Since 20 candidates are in the fray, one control unit and two ballot units will be used for the poll. Three observers’ including one police, one general and one expenditure observers are monitoring the elections. The counting of votes will be held on June 15 at Pudukottai Government Women’s College.
