In Tamil Nadu, the state cabinet met under the leadership of Chief Minister Ms. Jayalalitha on Thursday evening. The meeting adopted a resolution to halt the Koodankulam power project until the apprehension of the people were allayed. The Minister had assured the protestors yesterday that a resolution would be adopted by the cabinet to this effect. The resolution enlisted the earlier initiative of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister in this regard. It has appealed to the Prime Minister and the central government to take action on this issue.
