The Tamilnadu State Assembly session will begin on January 6th next year with the customary address by the Governor Mr. Surjeet Singh Barnala. A short session will follow in which members will thank the Governor.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, polling is being held for the Vandavasi and Tiruchendur Assembly constituencies in the state today. The voting which began at 8 am will end at 5 pm. Both the constituencies are witnessing a three cornered contest involving the ruling DMK, the main opposition ADMK and the DMDK led by actor Vijaykant.<br/>
