The Tamil Nadu Assembly today unanimously passed a resolution urging the Central Government to take steps to impose an economic sanction against Sri Lanka till it ensures re-settlement of Tamils displaced by the war and minority Tamils get equal rights in all spheres in the island nation. Chief Minister Ms. J. Jayalalitha who moved the resolution asked the Centre to urge the United Nations to declare those who committed war crimes are war criminals.
