The Tamil Nadu State Assembly is holding a special session to pass a unanimous resolution on the Mullaperiyar issue today. The issue has come into limelight recently with Tamil Nadu asking for the water storage level to be increased to 142 ft and the deployment of CISF where as Kerala is demanding for the reduction in water level to 120 ft and the construction of a new dam.The political parties in both the States have been on a constant workout with hunger protests and statements over Mullaperiyar.
