In West Bengal, the deadline set by the Trinamool Congress towards Congress to put up candidates in 64 seats for assembly elections in the state will expire on Monday. The Trinamool Congress Chief Ms. Mamta Banerjee said in Kolkata that if the Congress does not announce its candidate names for 64 seats by Monday, the party will put up candidates in these seats also. AIR Kolkata correspondent reports that efforts are on for a mutual settlement of the issue. Top leaders of both the parties are still hopeful for an electoral alliance between Trinamool Congress and the Congress.
