The Trinamool Congress, the second largest ally of the UPA Government at the Centre will continue to raise its voice on the issues which concerns the people in the Budget Session of Parliament. Ahead of the session which is beginning on Monday, the Trinamool Congress MPs met the West Bengal Chief Minister and Party Supremo, Miss Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata this afternoon.
After the meeting, the Trinamool Congress Chief Whip and the Union Minister of State for Health, Mr. Sudeep Bandyopadhyay told newsmen that any move which will harm the federal structure of the country such as functioning of the National Counter Terrorism Center will be opposed.
Mr. Bandyopadhyay said that his party will also raise its voice on the floor of the House against any effort to increase fuel prices and reduction in subsidy on fertiliser. He also said that the Trinamool Congress will demand special facilities for the ‘bankrupt’ state like West Bengal in the parliament and will raise the issue of financial constraints being faced by the state.
