Trinamool Congress, TMC has retaliated against BJP leader Narendra Modi, calling him the “Butcher of Gujarat”, in response to his no-holds barred attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
TMC Spokesperson Derek O”Brien said that Modi has no answers to Bengal’s development model, so, he is making personal attacks. O”Brien said this in a series of tweets lambasting the BJP leader after the latter's fresh attack on the party supremo at a rally in Serampore in Hooghly District yesterday.
Narendra Modi has said, if voted to power, BJP will initiate a proper investigation into the Saradha chit fund scam. Modi criticised West Bengal Chief Minister on the chit fund scam and said that the future probe will not spare any one involved in it.
Sarcastically lauding Banerjee's talent for painting, Modi said, her paintings used to be sold for four lakh rupees, 8 lakh or 15 lakh rupees, but what is the reason that one of her paintings sold for 1.80 crore rupees.
Reacting to Modi's allegation in connection with the paintings, O'Brien challenged him to prove it or face defamation.
Continuing the tirade against MOdi Mamta Banerjee at a rally at Salkia in Howrah said that the chit fund business started in West Bengal in the 80s during CPI-M rule and flourished under Left patronage.
