TMC not in favour of toppling govt. over FDI, diesel price hike

The Trinamool Congress Chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee says, her party would not like to topple the UPA government over the issue of FDI in retail trade and diesel price hike.

Addressing a public rally, in Kolkata yesterday afternoon, she said her party is not in favour of quitting the government. She said they are always in favour of not breaking the alliance. She said the TMC has called a party meeting on Tuesday to discuss these issues.

She said if the Centre does not roll back the hike in diesel price and withdraw decisions on FDI in multi-brand retail they will take decisions, however, hard they may be.
