Trinamool Congress MPs from both the Houses today staged a dharna near the statue of Mahatma Gandhi inside Parliament complex on the issue of killings of India in America. <br/><br/>The MPs held placards which said, the world is one. All citizens are our brothers and sisters. We must take care of them and all Indians are our brothers and sisters, stop attacking them in USA. Speaking on this issue in the Lok Sabha, Mr. Saugata Roy said, this is the result of a persistent hate campaign against Indians which is taking place in the United States, especially after the new Government came to power. <br/><br/>He asked why the Central Government, especially our very voluble, vocal and articulate Prime Minister is keeping a strange silence on the issue. Earlier, Trinamool Chairperson Mamata Banerjee had tweeted on the issue and had also written a letter to the Union Minister for External Affairs, urging the Centre to take up the issue at the highest level in US.

Trinamool Congress MPs today protested over the recent incidents of alleged hate crime against Indians in the US. The members holding placard in front of Gandhi statue in Parliament complex demanded safety and security of Indian citizens in the US.<br/><br/>They said the US government should ensure that there is no such incident of hate crime against Indians in the future.
