Trinamool Congress MP Sukhendu Sekhar Roy has protested in the Rajya Sabha today saying that an activist of the ruling party at the Centre has described West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee as a demon. Raising the issue during Zero Hour, he said the activist also announced a reward for the person who beheads her. This was strongly protested by opposition parties. <br/><br/>Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said the government condemns the incident. He said the State government can take action. Deputy Chairman P J Kurien said an FIR should be filed against the person and also the state government can take action. <br/><br/>BSP Chief Mayawati said it is a serious issue. Saying that condemning the incident is not enough, she said action should be taken against the BJP. She was supported by Ms Jaya bachhan of the Samajwadi Party, who said the government can save cows but it should also save women.
