The Khordha District and Sessions Judge Court in Bhubaneswar has rejected the bail plea of Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay. The MP had been arrested over his alleged involvement in the Rose Valley Group chit fund scam. <br/><br/>The Central Bureau of Investigation, probing the chit fund scam, had arrested the four-time Lok Sabha member from Kolkata on 3rd of last month. Currently, Sudip is lodged in Jharpada Special Jail in Bhubaneswar. Another TMC MP Tapas Paul accused in the same Chit fund scam is also lodged in the same jail.
