All the six ministers of Trinamool Congress, TMC Ministers in UPA Cabinet have tendered their resignations to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh today. After submiiting their resignation, TMC leader Sultan Ahmed told media persons outside the PM's residence that Dr Singh has accepted their resignations and will forward it to the President.

Earlier, TMC leader Mr. Mukul Roy said, that the Ministers will meet President Pranab Mukherjee, officially informing of the withdrawal of support of the Trinamool Congress to the Congress led UPA government.

Mr. Roy said, the Trinamool Congress is opposed to the decision on FDI in retail and price hike and launch protests against the manner in which the decisions were introduced. The Trinamool has currently six Ministers including one with Cabinet rank.
