Trinamool Congress chief whip Kalyan Banerjee says, as parliamentary colleague he advised Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi to resign to ensure a honorable exit. He told AIR Kolkata correspondent that he gave the advice in a telephonic talk with Trivedi.
Trivedi told reporters that he will not resign unless given in writing by Mamata Banerjee. He said he has a Constitutional duty to pilot the Railway Budget he had presented in Parliament. He said, there will be a discussion on Monday and he has to answer the discussion on railway budget. But, Trinamool Congress leader Sudip Bandyopadhay said there will be nothing in writing to Dinesh Trivedi.
