Tiranga Yatra has helped to maintain national unity: PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said the Tiranga Yatra has helped to maintain national unity by thwarting the forces which were working against unity and harmony in the country. The week long Yatra was organized all over the country as part of celebrations of 70 years of Independence. Addressing the concluding session of state BJP core groups workshop in New Delhi, Mr. Modi said the NDA government is committed to the welfare of the poor.<br/><br/>Giving takeaway from the Prime Minister's address, senior party leader Ananth Kumar informed that Mr. Modi said the government will soon come out with more welfare sachems for the people.<br/><br/>Earlier, BJP President Amit Shah urged the party leaders to work for public welfare and expansion of the party base. <br/><br/>The day-long meeting is believed to have discussed the strategy for upcoming assembly elections in states including Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. <br/><br/>It also deliberated on plans to strengthen party's communication strategy, publicizing the Central government's schemes and construction of modern party offices in the states among other organizational issues.<br/> <br/>On Saturday, Amit Shah will meet party ruled state Chief Ministers where he is expected to discuss the strategy on the passage of 122nd Constitution Amendment Bill in the state assemblies which will pave the way for roll out of GST.
