Tiranga yatras were flagged off in several parts of the country today as part of "Sattar Saal Azaadi – Zara Yaad Karo Qurbani" Programme of the Union government to pay tributes to freedom fighters. <br/><br/>Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said that the sacrifices of various freedom fighters of the country is inspiring and should not be forgotten. <br/><br/>He was speaking at a rally after paying homage to freedom fightet Birsa Munda at his birthplace at Ulihatu in Khunti district of Jharkhand. Mr Singh said that the works of the present government at the Centre has improved India's credibility and image at the global stage.<br/><br/>Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office Dr Jitendra Singh flagged off 'Tiranga yatra' from the border district of Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir today. Speaking to media, Dr. Singh asserted that India is committed to the freedom of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. <br/><br/>In Uttar Pradesh, the president of ?Bhartiya Janata Party Amit Shah paid his tribute to the martyrs of famous 'kakori kand' of freedom moment by garlanding statues at Kakori village of Lucknow today. <br/><br/>He also participated in the the 'Tiranga Yatra' on the occasion. He was handed over a Tiranga by members of martyred family members of Kakori.<br/>While addressing a gathering on the occasion Amit Shah said that we have forgotten our great freedom fighters. <br/><br/>Prime minister Narendra Modi has started a campaign to tribute to all martyred across the country. Union ministers and BJP MPs and MLAs have begun the task. He said the freedom fighters from all corners the country took part in freedom movement of nation. We have to pay back debt of these great soldiers.
