In Uttar Pradesh, Bharatiya Kisan Union lead by farmer's leader Mahendra Singh Tikait extended its support to the farmers at Aligarh and Agra protesting over hike in compensation for land acquired for Yamuna Expressway and township.AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that BKU also announced a march tomorrow from Sisauli in Muzaffarnagar to Tappal in Aligarh. Other political parties including Congress and Rashtriya Lok Dal have also announced to organise rally in the support of demands of farmers.The Mayawati government has announced hike in the rate of compensation in Agra by 121 rupees per sq meter on the acquired land of Yamuna Expressway. Now the farmers of Agra would get 580 rupees per squire metre and they will also be given proper compensation for crops, trees and boring well among other things.
