Tight security arrangements have been made across Bihar in view of the dawn-to-dusk state-wide bandh and blockade called by the RJD. Police said, extra vigil is being maintained at vital installations during the bandh.<br/><br/>Patrolling has been intensified on the national highways to ensure normal movement of traffic.<br/><br/>The RJD has called the bandh in protest against the alleged failure of the central and state governments to control escalating prices of essential commodities. <br/><br/>In Patna, grocery and vegetable shops were seen open in the morning, but vehicular traffic was thin. Official sources said, most of the schools were closed as a precautionary measure.<br/><br/>Private bus operators have suspended their services in several parts of the state. Essential services, including hospitals, water and electricity supply and Railways have been kept out of the purview of the bandh.<br/><br/> <br/>
