The second phase of the ticket sale for the Delhi Commonwealth Games has started today as the actual physical tickets were unveiled by the organsing committee in New Delhi this evening. Releasing the physical tickets, the organising committee Secretary General Lalit Bhanot said that the e-vouchers for booking of tickets had begun on the fourth June this year while these vouchers are to be exchanged for the actual tickets from today onwards. He said that thirty retail outlets have started functioning in Delhi and the National Capital Region where tickets for every event and for all denominations are made available to the general public. With an aim at selling about seventeen lakh tickets for the October Games in Delhi, the organising committee has released the physical tickets for the sports lovers and public at large .The tickets for the Delhi Commonwealth Games are printed at the India Security Press with visible as well as invisible security features to avoid counterfeiting. Besides the option of self pick up of tickets one can have them delivered through courier service as well as through on line and call centre service too. Although there has already been a sale of large number of tickets through e-mail so far the sale of tickets is expected to get a further boost with less than forty days to go for the games for which, besides the domestic demand, orders from several foreign countries have also been registered.Just before the launch of the physical tickets the organising committee also informed that the broadcast facilities for the games will start being tested from 15th of September and that the telecast of every individual competition for the first time will be on high definition technique.
