Thunderstorm accompanied with hailstorm likely to occur at some places of India: IMD

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warning that thunderstorm accompanied with hailstorm is likely to occur at some places of the country over next three to four days. Talking exclusively to AIR, Director General of IMD, L S Rathore said, a western disturbance is active over the North west India. He said, under this influence states like Himachal pradesh, Uttrakhand and Jammu and Kashmir are likely to receive heavy rain and snowfall at one or two places in next three days.<br/><br/>India Meteorological Department has also said, thunderstorm accompanied with strong winds and isolated hailstorm will occur over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh from tomorrow to 13th of this month. In Bihar, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal thunderstorm and hailstorm will occur on 13th to 14th of this month.<br/><br/>Met department has issued advisory to the farmers to undertake harvesting of matured crops at the earliest and postpone irrigation. It has also been advised to keep harvested produce in safer place and maintain proper drainage channels.
