In Afghanistan, three US soldiers were killed on Monday afternoon in a fight with militants in southern part of country while militants killed four civilians in an attack in northern Faryab province. <br/><br/>A NATO statement did not provide any further details of soldiers killing but this is the largest number of casualties among foreign soldiers in this year. The deaths raised to at least 10 the number of US service members killed in Afghanistan so far this year.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Taliban militants attacked a house with rocket propelled in Faryab province and killed four family members. Deputy provincial police chief said two women and a girl were among the dead while two other members of the family sustained injuries in the attack. The reason for the attack is suspected to be the family’s refusal to pay tax of farmland to militants. More than two thousand civilians lost their lives in the ongoing conflict during last year.
