In Uttar Pradesh, the State Government on Thursday suspended three officials including an Additional Superintendent of Police, a Deputy SP and a jailer in connection with Banda rape case. The Chief Minister, Ms. Mayawati told media persons this evening that investigation agency CB -CID has submitted charge sheet against the accused to the fast track Court at Banda. She said that this case would be expedited on priority basis in the fast track Court. Four persons including ruling BSP MLA Purushottam Naresh Dwivedi, the main accused and his three associates have been arrested in this case. Two police persons including SHO have already been suspended for misbehaving with the victim girl at police station and for lodging a false theft case against her. Our Correspondent reports that Chief Minister did not say any thing against the District Police Chief who is alleged to have pressurised the victim girl to change her statement.
