In Uttar Pradesh, three new districts – Prabuddha Nagar, Panchsheel Nagar and Bhim Nagar have been constituted in the western region of the state. With this, the total number of districts has gone up to 75 in the state. The new district of Prabuddha Nagar has been carved out of Muzaffar Nagar district while Panchsheel Nagar has been carved out from Ghaziabad. Bhim Nagar has been taken out from Moradabad and Badaun districts.
