The three member panel led by the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will meet this evening to take a view on the next Chief Information Commissioner, CIC. The other two members of the panel are the leader of the Opposition Mr. L.K. Advani and the Law Minister Mr. Veerappa Moily. The meeting is expected to finalise the name of the new CIC. The post of CIC fell vacant a month ago when Wajahat Habibullah resigned to head the Information Commission of Jammu and Kashmir. Our correspondent says that the composition of the selection panel has been specified under the RTI Act.<br/><br/>
