In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, an encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Waterhail area of central Kashmir's Budgam district early today morning. The gunbattle erupted after security forces were fired upon by terrorists who had laid a cordon and launched searches in the area following an intelligence input about the presence of terrorists in the area. <br />''  <br />'' Additional Director General of Police Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said that three terrorists of proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba (TRF) are trapped in the ongoing encounter. The encounter was still underway when the last reports came in.<br />''  <br />'' Meanwhile, security forces have averted a major tragedy today by recovering an improvised explosive device (IED) weighing about 25 to 30 Kilograms at Circular road near Tahab crossing in Pulwama district just days before the 75th Independence Day.
