A three-judge bench in Supreme Court will hear the Ram Janmabhoomi- Babri Masjid case on Tuesday. The bench is headed by the Chief Justice of India S H Kapadia. On Friday the apex court stayed the pronouncement of verdict by the Allahabad High Court scheduled for September 24 on four title suits. The highest court of the country while entertaining the special leave petition to defer the judgment for resolution of disputes through negotiations had referred the matter to the chief justice for posting it before a larger bench. The interim order by the court said that they are referring the issue to the Chief Justice in view of the divergent views expressed by them on staying the pronouncement of the verdict by the high court. Attorney General G E Vahanvati who has been asked to assist the Court will inform the court about the Centre's stand on the issue.
