In Jammu and Kashmir, three infiltrators were reportedly killed in a fierce encounter in the Kupwara sector near Line of Control. An army spokesman told AIR Srinagar Correspondent, Bashir Mallik that two jawans of Jammu Kashmir Police and an army jawan were injured in the encounter.He said that the encounter started after a specific information was received about the presence of militants in the area who had infiltrated to this side of Line of Control from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. A joint operation by J&K Police and army was launched and the operation is still going on.
