Three Harkat-ul-Jehadi militants were killed in a fierce gun-battle with troops in Kishtwar district of Jammu division early thursday. in jammu and kashmir AIR correpondent reports that<br/><br/>Acting on a tip off about the presence of four militants in village Chicha of Nagsani area of Kishtwar district, troops of Rashtriya Rifles launched a search and cordon operation in the area. <br/><br/>Findng the troops approaching towards them , the militants started indiscriminate firing which was returned by the troops. In the ensuing gun-battle between the two sides which continued for over two hours, three militants were killed. The encounter was still going in the area when the reports last came in. <br/><br/>According to Superintendent of Polcie, Kishtwar , the identity of the three slain HUJI militants is being ascertained. It may be mentioned here that late yesterday two dreaded militants belonging to Lashkar-e-Toiba outfit were gunned down by troops in Kishtwar district.
