More than 80 blazes are raging across the state following a return of hot and windy conditions. NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said the plane had crashed in an active fire zone south of Australia's capital, Canberra. Fire department said all large air tanker aircraft operations had been suspended for the rest of the day pending investigation into the crash.
''
'' The airport in capital city of Canberra has been shut down due to the threat of approaching bushfires. Flights were cancelled out of Canberra Airport. Officials issued emergency warnings urging people to stay away from the airport as two blazes threatened to breach the airfield perimeters. High temperatures and strong winds have fuelled an outbreak of new blazes across several areas in eastern Australia, ending a period of respite following several days of rains and cooler weather.
''
''
''Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar, who is participating in the charity match for Australia's bushfire victims as Coach of Ricky Ponting Eleven said, it will go long way in providing relief.
