Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman inaugurated the Parv last evening. Events highlighting the valour of the Indian Armed Forces in general and Special Forces in particular are being showcased.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Noted singers and military band are performing at the venue as part of the cultural performances.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Visitors can see captured weapons used by terrorists that have been brought from Jammu and Kashmir. Military equipment, such as artillery guns and small arms, are also on display.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Reports of Parakram Parv celebrations are pouring in from various parts of the country.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In Mumbai, students, teachers and NCC cadets were&nbsp; allowed to visit the Naval dockyard. Various arms and ammunition used by the Navy have been kept for display at the exhibition stalls.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Visitors also get a chance to view videos on the operations by the marine commandos, surgical strikes of the Indian Army and the numerous operations conducted by the Indian Navy as well as express themselves through graffiti canvas walls and selfie points.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In Goa, a large number of school students visited the Naval Aviation museum at Dabolim this morning. They were introduced to various milestones of naval history and the roles and responsibilities of the navy. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In Madhya Pradesh, large number of people visited Shaurya Smarak, a unique war memorial in Bhopal. The Smarak was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 14 October 2016.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In Assam, Parakram Parv was organised at Air Force Station, Guwahati and Narangi Military Station. Various types of weapons and equipments of the Army are displayed at the Narangi Military Station.&nbsp; &nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In Punjab, the &quot;Prakram Parva&quot; function was organized at various places in Jalandhar. Citizens who attended these functions got an opportunity to know Indian Army closely and at the same time&nbsp; got an opportunity to see the modern weapons and equipment being used by the army.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In Arunachal Pradesh, Indian Army organized an awareness programme at the sensitive border town of Tawang. It was aimed at creating awareness among the local populace about the courage, valour and sacrifice of Indian Army as well as enhance civil military bonhomie.</span><br />
