In Sikkim, a three-day long Bharat Nirman Public Information Campaign began at Sumbuk in South District today. The Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee of the State Legislative Assembly, Mrs. Tulsidevi Rai inaugurated it. The campaign has been organised by the Press Information Bureau of Gangtok along with other media units of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. AIR Gangtok correspondent reports that this is the 13th in the series, ever since the first public information campaign started in Sikkim in November, 2006. About 40 per cent of the state population has been covered under the campaign with three each of such events held in all the four districts of the State.
