Three-day Bharat Nirman, Public Info Campaign begins in Andhra Pradesh

Three-day Bharat Nirman, Public Information Campaign began at Maheswaram in Ranga Reddy district of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday. Inaugurating the campaign, stateHome Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy has asked the women groups in the district to use the opportunity of the Public Information Campaign organized by Press Information Bureau of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry to obtain details of various Government programmes and schemes. She said the campaign has been one-stop destination to know about all the Central and State government schemes being implemented. The Minister has distributed cheques worth Rs. 8.42-crore to over 13 thousand beneficiaries towards bank linkages, Aam Aadmi Bima claims, and Abhaya Hastham pension claims on the occasion. Several public representatives and senior officials of central and state Governments of the area have also attended. Various programmes relating to Rural Employment, Rural Development, Health, Women and Child Welfare, Food Security and SC, ST, BC and Minorities Welfare and Right to Information and Right to Education will be discussed during the campaign. An exhibition of about 60 stalls has been set up in which over 40 departments have displayed their products and services.
