Three-day BES Expo 2012 conference ends in New Delhi

The curtains came down on Monday for the three day International Conference and exhibition on terrestrial and satellite broadcasting held at Pragati maidan in New Delhi.

Speaking at the valedictory function of the BES Expo 2012, the minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, C.M Jatua hoped that the deliberations at the Conference has benefitted broadcast Engineers in their efforts to adapt to the rapidly advancing technology.

Speaking on the ocassion, eminent Journalist and member of the first Prasar Bharati board, B.G Vergheese stressed on the significance of people oriented focus followed by Public broadcasting services while Private broadcastors have to dependent heavily on advertisements for revenue.

The Conference and Exhibition was organised by the Broadcast Engineering Society of India (BES). Awards for achievements in broadcast engineering were also given away on the occasion.
